Planning to build a new PC for keyshot rendering. Before I was planning to go with the best CPU and a mid range GPU because we all know that keyshot uses cpu power for rendering. Now that keyshot 9 (can now render with GPU power) is out, should I now switch to a mid range CPU and best GPU? Like ryzen 5 and rtx 2080 ti
Thanks you !

Hello and thank you for contacting Luxion.
It really is a matter of preference since there are pros and cons for both.
The main question is are you going to be developing single, high resolution scenes or several scenes at a time?
CPU Rendering has an overall higher memory than GPU as well as being more stable and can (possibly) create a higher quality image, though at cost of other CPU functions.
GPU Rendering is faster, constantly improving and is better at resource-intensive tasks. This can offer you hyper realistic scenes at a much faster speed.
In the end, it is entirely up to you and what you want out of your rendering platform.
