Just adding some helpful hints for those using Linux Servers in a cloud service like AWS.
With AWS, I typically like to limit access to the correct port numbers to our IP, so the port number cannot be dynamic.
While the default port number is 27000, the Flexlm software creates another port that is dynamic on the machine.
Every time you reboot the machine it changes ports. This makes it difficult to have a proper Access Control List in place.
The trick is in the Keyshot license file
To ensure it was right where I wanted it, I added 27000 to the end of the server screen and the added
SERVER mykeyshotserver 112233445566 27000
VENDOR LUXION PORT=49280
After you spin it up, just allow 27000 and 49280 through (or whatever ports you selected) and everything is happy
